It is important to choose different projects and analyzing various perspectives of the application so that it can help us to churn out the future projects that we develop better. There are many common things with most of the projects but I'd like to talk more about the uncommon stuff that makes these projects unique and awesome. Let's dive in :)

Analysis:

  • This VR project essentially delivers an immersive startup office that can be run on HTC Vive. The application dint miss to include anything that is required for a company to run. This is clearly evident from the pic below. You can see that all the partitions placed in an organized manner so that it has a recreation area, conference area, Longue area, Cafe, workspace and manager space. All these elements are placed in that limited space available. That is what most of the startups look for and this application clearly does the job what it has to do.

  • The application also has many interactable objects. The physics and colliders for various objects have been added appropriately. For an instance, you can play the table tennis with the Vive controllers as proper physics has been added to the bat and the ball. In fact, it looks so realistic due to other effects such as ball bounces with a natural sound when it hits the table thus the collisions are handled so well.

  • The recreation spot also has the fan rotating all the time that is done using the transform.rotate API in the update method(updates after every frame). The Jenga game also looks fascinating when interacting with it. The animation is so realistic when the blocks fall down while pulling one from the middle of the stack.

  • There is a control given to the user for switching the lights ON/OFF at various places. The are multiple lights providing illumination across several places in the office space and all of them are given the control using wands. The lights on the rooftop are also beautifully crafted.
